Panik Designs is a brand new design studio, set-up at the beginning of 2003 by Glasgow
School of Art graduates Paul Brown and Annika Simpson. Specialising in hand and digitally
printed textiles, Panik Designs creates fresh innovative designs for the contemporary
domestic and commercial interior.

After making a more than favourable impression while exhibiting at New Designers exhibition
in London last year, Paul and Annika decided to collaborate and establish their own studio.
Receiving support from the Scottish Arts Council, PSYBT and Scottish Enterprise, enabled
them to set-up with the equipment and knowledge necessary to run a printed textile design
studio.

Fresh contemporary designs and an innovative use of materials characterise Panik Designs.
Paul and Annika take inspiration from their surroundings and are particularly attracted to
repetition, texture and simple form. They mainly work with computers to develop their
designs, which predominantly comprise clean lines and graphic images. They like to play with
scale, proportion and placement of their designs, especially when working on site-specific
commissions.

Panik Designs have a current range of interior accessories and printed textiles but are at
their best when working on site specific commissions for individual clients.
